Volunteer with us

At the Berkshire Animal Connection Centre we welcome volunteers to come and join us at our Sanctuary in Swallowfield, Berkshire.

There are a number of options available and we truly value any time you can spend helping care for all our animals – horses, ponies, donkeys and goats.

Opportunities exist throughout the week and weekend. All we ask is that you make a commitment of minimum 2 hours and have transport to get to us, either your own or a parental taxi!!

We welcome adults and young people (minimum age must be Year 7) and we are currently running programmes for work experience students, Duke of Edinburgh Award Students, supervised visits for parents with younger children and there are also slots for adults to come and join us.

Volunteering at any sanctuary is physically demanding, and takes place in all weather, so we are keen to set expectations with you for full transparency.

We acknowledge that people volunteer at BACC for a variety of reasons, and we want to ensure that all volunteers accomplish those reasons and feel fulfilled and valued, mindful that the basic requirements of the animals and sanctuary are first and foremost.

Could you support us?
