Sponsor a Sanctuary Resident

By sponsoring a horse, pony, goat or donkey you will help us continue to provide the love and care to all of our animals. You will be contributing towards funding the ongoing care of the animal you have chosen to sponsor – costs such as food, farrier visits, vet fees and dental treatment.

You can sponsor a resident for yourself or choose to share the joy by giving the gift of sponsorship to a loved one – whichever you choose we and our sanctuary residents will be forever grateful.  As a charity, we are reliant on the generosity of supporters like you.

Sponsorship Details:

6 months package: £25

1 year package: £50

To sponsor one of our residents shown below, please send an email to info@animalconnectioncentre.org stating which of the animals you wish to sponsor, and whether you would like to do so for 6 months or 1 year.

Sponsor Daisy

Daisy is an old riding school pony, who was loaned out to various homes until she completely refused to be ridden. She was handed over the the centre as a potential therapy pony.

Sponsor Dougal

Sponsor Dougal

Dougal is over 30 years old and has no teeth. He is fed a sloppy mash in order for him to get all the nutriments that he needs. He came to the sanctuary after a change of circumstances with his previous owner.

Sponsor Smurf

Smurf got his nane due to being a 'blue and white' Shetland (the blue has since faded as he got older).
He was a breeder's overstock and was sadly sent to the slaughterhouse at only 6 months old.
Thankfully he was saved and is living a very happy life at the Sanctuary.

Sponsor Po

Po currently lives with our donkeys. He came to us from Birmingham aftrer being taken away from his mother too early. We have given him sanctuary at the BACC. He is still a youngster at just 2 years old.

Sponsor Smarty & Dolly

Dolly (right) is a Shetland Pony and Smarty's Mum. She was forfeited by her original owner to another rescue centre and was thin and covered in lice. She was rehomed to our sanctuary and is now a firm favourite with children. Dolly's foal, Smarty (left), was a huge surprise, as despite two negative pregnancy tested, Smarty was discovered as a new born foal one morning behind a barn door!

Sponsor Amy

Amy was left behind by a breeder because she could not be caught when they left their field. For over 2 years we couldn't get near her, and she had to be darted with sedation for veterinary and care interventions. We worked with her at liberty and now although she still won't wear a headcollar, she likes human company and enjoys a scratch and fuss from volunteers. She is often drawn to people with anxiety issues, and is relaxed as a member of our sanctuary herd.

Sponsor Rocky

Rocky was rescued by Hampshire Spirit Rescue after he was involved in a crash during an illegal harness race, in which three of his legs were injured. Rocky is unfamiliar with other horses as he was always kept on his own, but is now slowly gaining confidence and learning how to interact and behave with other Sanctuary residents.

Sponsor Delboy & Dougal II

These elderly Sheltands are brothers. They are both in their early 30's. Their original owner had them both since they were foals, but sadly passed away so they were offered Sanctuary at the BACC to live out their senior years.

Sponsor Magnum

Magnum is one of our many goats. He needs extra care and a special diet of supermash every day to keep his weight on. He has made best friends with our Shetlands, Dougal II and Delboy!
